MAPLE MEADOWS GOLF CLUB
WOOD DALE, ILLINOIS

Maple Meadows Golf Club officially opened for play in the spring of 1998 with the opening of the back nine. The front nine opened in the spring of 1997. The "new" Maple Meadows Golf Club includes the total renovation of the original Brookwood Country Club holes and the construction of an additional 9-holes west of Addison Road. With the opening of the new eighteen holes west of Addison Road, the Maple Meadows facility now includes 27-holes open for play [18 brand new holes west of Addison Road and 9-holes from the original country club east of Addison Road.]

The former Brookwood County Club, was a private country club purchased by the Forest Preserve District of DuPage County in 1990, and opened as "Maple Meadows" a public daily fee golf course in the late summer of 1991.

Maple Meadows is a public daily fee golf course following the "traditional" style of golf course architecture providing alternate or preferred routes for the "player", while allowing the "bogey" golfer a alternate route to the hole.

This par-70 layout and its three sets of tees balances the layout for players of all skill levels. The back tees provide a 6,400-yard par-70 test, while the regular tees call upon the player to negotiate just slightly more than 6,000 yards. The forward tees can challenge the beginner or higher handicap players with just under 5,400 yards.

The golf course integrates portions of the former St. Aubin Nursery with several existing and created wetlands. The areas between fairways have been planted to fine fescue for aesthetic purposes and to minimize overall maintenance requirements on non-golf areas of the property.
