Meadowlark
Hills Golf Course in Kearney, Nebraska opened in July 1994.
Meadowlark
Hills is an eighteen hole municipal golf course. David Gill/Steven
Halberg Limited provided comprehensive design, site planning, and
construction contract management services for the eighteen hole golf
course, learning center, while consulting on the club house, maintenance
facility, and golf car storage facilities.
David
Gill/Steven Halberg Limited provided complete plans, specifications,
contract documents, and construction observation and administration for
all golf course improvements.
Steven Halberg served as principal designer
and project manager for the Meadowlark Hills golf course development.
This responsibility included working with the city's engineering
consultant and club house architect for the site planning and design of
the entrance road and parking area, maintenance facility, cart storage
facility, and club house.
The approach to No. 18 is a shot deep into
a "canyon" below the clubhouse.
Meadowlark Hills is recognized by
several local and national golf publications:

Midland's Best list of public courses" ranked sixth in the State.

ranked in the top 6 public golf courses in the State of Nebraska.
- Golf Digest has
also ranked the Par 4 tenth as the toughest par 4 in the state of
Nebraska.
